Good luck in Boston! I'll be running it too. It's a great course, I had a lot of fun up there last year. Just don't let the hills in the first half speed you up too much.

Hey Dude, I sure like your smiling, energized form of writing. Pretty humbling if I say so myself; you sound like a coach! Wooten, maybe?? Upside is, your verbiage triggers "PMA" behavior in people and inspiration is all many of us need to part the clouds in our lives. You rock, Kid! Have a great race in Marin and take a post-race
"Pint" break in "Houlihan's" pub in Sausalito if you can... remember Irish Dance?

Go get'em, Nick. I'm watching from North Van. Any day on the legs and running is better than a day in the office...or the couch - same thing for some people I guess.

Hey Bubba!

Good to read from you again, son. Talk about an "inspiring" weekend. Wonderful to experience so many men, women, boys and girls who've decided to smile their way thru life while gutting out some super challenges and succeeding in style! From folks like you, Scout, John, Amy and the rising stars like Ezra, nobody has an excuse to say "I can't"! Thanks for the reminder of life's blessings. I again thank God for His life-giving energy exemplified so clearly through leaders like you. Ya'll Rock! Keep it up!
I love ya, Tink! Pops

Hi Nick,
I'm Mimi's mom, Kathy, that you and your friend met on your bike ride yesterday. Nick, I have read all your accomplishments and I am so impressed with your skill and talent. You are an awesome athlete and I am so honored to have met you and your friend; and so honored that you wanted to have a picture taken with Mimi in her doggie wheelchair. I rescued Mimi 7 years ago. At that time she had one paralyzed leg from a birth injury. Last summer severe arthritis caused nerve damage to the hips, bladder and bowel. So she lost use of everything in the hind quarters. I was so greatful that a friend told me about the doggie wheelchairs so I bought her one and it changed our lives. I have learned much from this little dog since she became physically challenged and got her wheelchair. She has such determination with the obstacles she has overcome and she is so very happy. People stop me on the street all the time to tell me they see how happy she is and they saw the difference in her since she has the wheels. Before she could only scoot on her bottom short distances and she became very depressed. Of course now she scoots around the house on her bottom; but give her the wheels and she is a free spirit! So thank you Nick for stopping and meeting us. I will remember your kindness always. God bless you on your journey. If you could email a picture of you and Mimi I would love to have it.

Blessings-- Kathleen
